About the event
Kicking off the new year with our “Be What You Don’t See” campaign, we’re thrilled to highlight our friend and iFiB Oregon co-host, Justin Bubenik @justinbubenik. Justin is the founder of @flycuriousfish, an organization dedicated to creating safe spaces in the outdoors, expanding fly fishing opportunities for everyone, and empowering LGBTQIA+ individuals with the knowledge and skills to dive into the world of fly fishing.
Justin wears many hats in the fishing and outdoor community. He is a member of the American Fly Fishing Trade Association (AFFTA) Diversity Committee, a fly fishing instructor, a board member of Fly Fishers International, a founding board member of the Outdoorist Oath, and a passionate volunteer with organizations like The Mayfly Project, Trout Unlimited, LGBT+ Outdoors, the Oregon Department of Fish & Wildlife, and Backcountry Hunters & Anglers.
